Who will prevail? Google's android, or Apple's ios?

These days everyone is in everyone's space. Apple, a company that has been somewhat successful in the computer industry is now dominating the smartphone market, and Google, a company that receives most of its revenue from ads, and its extremely popular search engine has is also in the smartphone market, and is quickly catching up to ios. Many companies, namely Apple and Google have  dominated over the area that was home to other companies such as Nokia and Motorola. Since the most prominent operating systems on smartphones as of know is android and ios, today I will be giving my opinion on whether Apple's ios or Google's android will prevail in the smartphone market.

First, lets take some data posted just a few days ago on www.droid-life.com: /

This chart basically shows us that Google's android own 49% of the smartphone market by 2012
I too believe that Google's operating system will prevail in the future. ( I will add my reasoning later)
